If there are any vacancies left after the second phase, the Schools may, if they consider, make these vacancies available for a third phase of applications. These applications can be considered in order of entry, and will be exhausted when they are filled, or they can be ranked within a period to be defined by the School.
All selection and enrolment processes must be completed until 30 September 2023.

Access Conditions

To apply for enrolment and registration at MIMV the International Students must:

Hold a qualification giving access to higher education, understood as any diploma or certificate issued by a competent authority attesting the successful completion of an education programme and conferring the right to apply for and to enter higher education in the country in which it was awarded;

Holders of a Portuguese secondary education diploma or legally equivalent qualification;

The equivalence of qualifications referred to in paragraph 2) is defined by Decree-Law No. 227/2005 of 28 December, as amended by Rectification Declaration No. 9/2006 of 6 February, combined with Ministerial Order No. 224/2006 of 8 March and Ministerial Order No. 699/2006 of 12 July.

Admission conditions

To enter the Integrated Master Degree in Veterinary Medicine, candidates must demonstrate, cumulatively:

Specific academic qualification for entry to the study cycle, namely:

1.1 When the applicant is the holder of a Portuguese secondary education course, that demonstration corresponds to the approval in the entrance examinations through the general regime for access and entry in Portuguese public higher education, for the Integrated Masters Degree in Veterinary Medicine (1509/9847):
02 - Biology and Geology;
07 - Physics and Chemistry;
The classification of the entrance examinations can not be inferior to 120 on a scale of 0-200.
The entrance examinations used for the application must have been taken in the calendar year or in the three calendar years prior to the year of application.

OR

1.2 For applicants coming from foreign education systems where the provisions of article 20-A of Decree-Law no. 296-A/98, of 25 September are applicable, that demonstration is based on the homology with the tests defined in the previous paragraph.

OR

1.3 When the candidate is the holder of a course for which the provisions of no. 1.1 are not applicable, he must submit documentation to prove that, in his schooling, he passed final examinations that include the knowledge covered by the tests defined in 1.1.

OR

1.4 When the candidate is the holder of a course to which the provisions of the previous paragraphs do not apply, he/she must submit documentation proving that, during his/her schooling, he/she has passed curricular components that integrate the knowledge covered by the tests defined in paragraph 1.1.

Independent mastery of the Portuguese language (level B1, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)

International applicants who do not have an intermediate level of Portuguese language proficiency (level B1, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) may apply to this special competition for access, provided that they commit themselves to attend an annual Portuguese language and culture course under the terms of number 4 of article 5, of the University of Lisbon's International Student Admission Regulations.

Mandatory proof

The absence of psychic, sensorial or motor deficiency that seriously interferes with the functional capacity and interpersonal communication to the point of impeding one's own or another's learning, objectified in the pre-requisite required for access to the course, included in Group B (mandatory document to be presented at the time of enrolment and registration and validated by a physician registered in the Portuguese Medical Association).

Candidate Seriation

The seriation is done by decreasing order of the final classification obtained after application of the following calculation formulas:
   a) FC = (FCSE + Pl)/2, for the situations foreseen in points 1.1 and 1.2;
   b) FC = (FCCSE + FCFE)/2, for the situations foreseen in point 1.3
   c) FC = (FCCSE + FCCC)/2, for the situation foreseen in point 1.4,
where:
   FC - Final classification
   FCSE - Final classification of secondary education
   FCCSE - Final classification of the corresponding secondary education;
   FCFE - final average classification of the final examinations referred to in item 1.3
   CFCC - average of the final classification of the curricular components that integrate the knowledge covered by the examinations defined in item 1.4;
PI - average of the entrance examinations.
Possible tie situations shall be solved based on the assessment of the curriculum vitae.
The minimum classification of candidates for each cycle of studies is 120 on the 0-200 scale.

Informação relativa à instrução do processo de candidatura:

The application is made online (FénixEdu), in the menu option - Candidates / International Student of the Faculty web page, with the delivery of the documents mentioned below.

Documents to be submitted:

i. Simple photocopy of the Passport or foreign Identity Card (optional);

ii. Photocopy of official document containing the tax identification number (if applicable);

iii. Declaration, under oath, that the candidate does not have Portuguese nationality nor is covered by any of the conditions that, according to ERA, do not confer the International Student status (draft available at FénixEdu);

iv. Document proving the completion of Portuguese secondary education (Ficha ENES) or legally equivalent qualification, as well as the respective marks obtained. If the academic qualification does not correspond to the Portuguese secondary education, a document proving that it gives access to higher education in the country where it was obtained, as well as the respective classification, duly validated by the competent authority of that country.

v. Document proving the classification scale used in the home country (if applicable);

vi. Document proving the completion of tests considered of equivalent level and content to the ones made by the students admitted through the general regime for access and admission, as well as the respective classification obtained in them;

vii. DEPLE Diploma or B1 certificate issued by an Ulisboa School, or declaration of the B1 level of mastery of the Portuguese language and culture, when applicable;

viii. Curriculum Vitae;

The documents mentioned in items iv, v, vi, must be stamped by the consular service or presented with the Hague Apostille affixed by the competent authority of the State where the document originates and, whenever they are not issued in Portuguese, English, French or Spanish, they should be translated into one of those languages.
